I first considered starting an apprenticeship to earn money as well as gaining qualifications and experience in a company.
A typical day for me involves building and testing SFD Mk2s. One of the highlights of my career so far has been developing and refining my testing skills, where I’ve seen significant improvement and growth. Upon completing my apprenticeship, I hope to secure a permanent position at Parker Meggitt. However, if that’s not the case, I’m confident that the skills and experience I’ve gained will open doors to exciting opportunities elsewhere.
My advice to future apprentices is to always plan ahead and never hesitate to ask for help. You don’t need to be perfect—what matters most is having the willingness to learn and the curiosity to keep asking questions.
