Introduction Into Aspire Education Academy

Aspire Education Teaching Assistant Academy provide opportunities to local young people to support teaching and learning in schools, by working in partnership with schools to provide training for Level 2 Teaching Assistants through Traineeships.

During the last 5 years, Aspire Education have built a reputation as a successful provider of training in the school environment through the delivery of their Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools programmes. Aspire Education have supported over 500 Teaching Assistants, with achievement rates above 90% for their Traineeship programme.

Opportunities to support teaching and learning in schools

Aspire Education's mission is to inspire everyone to realise their full potential by providing training and opportunities to improve quality of life through employment and skills:

Week 1 & 2

  • Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Work Preparation Training including: Safeguarding, First Aid, Communication Skills, Positive Attitudes, Health & Safety, etc.
  • BKSB diagnostic testing for English and Maths

Week 3, 4, 5 & 6

  • Work Experience including: Observations of T&L, Classroom Support, Extra curricular activities, Duty supervision, etc.
