You could also specialise in a particular engineering field, work in research or become a consultant. You could work overseas with British consulting firms, and for oil and mining companies. You could also work for international development and disaster relief agencies.

Food factory workers make frozen, tinned, baked and dried products.
Textile machinery technicians maintain, service and repair machinery used in textiles manufacturing.
Cellar technicians install and maintain drinks systems in places like pubs, bars, hotels and restaurants.
Engineering construction technicians install, service and repair machines and equipment in buildings, factories and industrial plants.
Acoustics consultants help manage and control noise and vibrations in homes, workplaces and other environments.

Your apprenticeship will last 36 months, and successful apprentices will achieve a Water Industry Treatment Process Technician, Level: 3 (wastewater pathway) standard, endorsed by the Institute for Apprenticeships.You will need to be mobile in this role, well contribute up to 500 towards driving lessons and tests to help to get you on the road!
