With incorporated or chartered engineer status you could: move into project management roles specialise in research, such as telecommunications, robotics or semiconductors work as an engineering consultant You could also move into patent law.
Patent attorneys advise clients on how to apply for patents for new inventions, designs or processes.
Agricultural engineering technicians help to solve practical engineering problems in land-based industries.
Cellar technicians install and maintain drinks systems in places like pubs, bars, hotels and restaurants.
Textile technologists produce specialist technical textiles for industries like automotive, manufacturing and healthcare.
Marine engineering technicians design, build, service and repair boats and ships.
Critical care technologists (CCTs) make sure equipment used in the care of critically ill patients is safe and effective.

Your apprenticeship will last 36 months, and successful apprentices will achieve a Water Industry Treatment Process Technician, Level: 3 (wastewater pathway) standard, endorsed by the Institute for Apprenticeships.You will need to be mobile in this role, well contribute up to 500 towards driving lessons and tests to help to get you on the road!
