Physiotherapy assistants help physiotherapists work with patients to restore or improve movement.

You could also contact the voluntary services co-ordinator at your local NHS trust for advice about opportunities. Physician associates support doctors to diagnose and manage patients in hospitals and GP surgeries.
Surgeons carry out operations and medical procedures on patients.
Biomedical scientists screen patient samples and help doctors and healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat disease.
Practice nurses work in GP surgeries to assess, screen, treat and educate patients, and help doctors give medical care.

There’s only so much you can learn when you just do a qualification. As an apprentice, you’ll also get to learn on the job – whether that’s designing amazing graphics, chopping vegetables, or building engines!
