You could become a project leader, managing the design and development of new products. You might also specialise in a particular area, for example architectural, medical or underwater acoustics technology. With experience, you could become a senior acoustics engineering consultant and register for chartered status through the Institute of Acoustics.
Landscapers create and maintain gardens, parks and other outdoor and indoor areas.
Materials technicians test the behaviour of materials under different conditions to help develop new products and improve existing ones.
Welders cut, join and shape metal plate, pipework and composite materials in the aerospace, construction and civil engineering industries.
Chemists study chemicals and materials and how they behave under different conditions.
Shoe repairers mend footwear, and items like belts and bags.
Data analyst-statisticians collect numerical information to identify trends, create models and present results.
To apply you will need to have attained, or expect to attain by July 2025, either:1.A Degree; or2.A Level 4 5 qualification (plus 2 years relevant industry experience)Your qualification will be In one of the following appropriate engineering subjects*: -Physics -Computer Sciences -Mathematics -Engineering and Technology (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Telecommunications)Starting salary circa 37,000 (increasing to circa 43,000 on successful completion of the Programme)
