Boat builders build, repair and refit marine craft from small sailing boats to large sea-going vessels.
You'll usually need 2 or more GCSEs at grades 9 to 3 (A* to D), or equivalent, for a Level 2 course. You'll need 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, for a Level 3 course.

Depending on the job, you’ll:
With experience and qualifications, you could become a marine engineer. You could also move into boat design, work as an assistant to a naval architect or specialise in maritime equipment sales and support. You could use your skills to transfer to other branches of engineering or into construction.
Telecoms engineers work on satellite, digital TV and fibre optic systems, and install broadband, mobile and landline phone networks.
Electricity generation workers operate and maintain equipment in power stations.
Fence installers put up and repair fences, gates and other barriers.
Handypersons carry out minor repairs and small jobs in people's homes and businesses.
Energy engineers research, design and build power generation plants, and work in the oil and gas industry.
Kitchen and bathroom fitters install kitchens and bathroom suites in homes and businesses.
Participants will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams from across TfL and with customers, local government, and the supply chain to deliver city-defining programmes and cutting-edge technology.
During this Apprenticeship you will undertake the tasks involved within various departments for the Architectural & Structural Division. This will include commercial, production, quality assurance, planning and transport. You will spend time in each department learning what they do and applying what you have learnt. You will work within various teams under the support and supervision of a dedicated mentor.
