You may need 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English, maths and science for a Level 3 course, A-Level or T Level
You could start by taking a healthcare science Level 2 apprenticeship or higher apprenticeship for healthcare science associates. You'll usually need some GCSEs, usually including English and maths, or equivalent, for a Level 2 apprenticeship. You'll need 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) and A Levels, or equivalent, for a higher apprenticeship.
Volunteering
You can get some work experience by volunteering in the NHS. This could help if you apply for an apprenticeship or a job.
