Description

Cherry Trees is an animal boarding and day care facility with spaces for 140 dogs, 25 cats and other small animal boarding and day care facilities.

They are offering the perfect opportunity for you to working alongside a team of highly experienced animal care and welfare professionals who will help you develop your animal Welfare skills.

Are you an enthusiastic animal loving apprentice who are keen to gain a Level 2 Animal Care City & Guilds qualification. The right candidate needs to love being with animals and work well with within the team. Does this sound like a good fit for you? If so you gain excellent experience, working along side a great team of animal care professionals. All your training will be on site, there will be no college attendance, you will learn all you need to know on the job!

  • The Level 2 Animal Care Apprentice role will include,

Cleaning kennels, walking dogs, washing animals, feeding, giving medication and keeping the facilities and area clean and tidy.

  • Candidate Eligibility
The candidate must be a UK Resident and not completed a training program containing similar standards or above the apprenticeship being offered. Candidates must not currently be studying on a government funded contract.

  • Application process
Should you CV contain the relevant candidate qualities, it is likely that They will invite you for an informal interview and be offer a trail which could be for one day or two.

  • Access to Cherry Trees Boarding Kennels and Cattery

Must be able to get themselves to work either with lifts or be able to drive. Working well within a team absolutely a must.


  • Working Timetable
4 days on 4 days off Monday - Sunday rotating basis (Shift work)
7.30am -3.30pm or 11.30am to 7.30pm

GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passeds. we will support you in achieving your functional skills English and Maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.

All Training and mentoring will take place during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer. Also a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held by your Haddon Training Coach.
