Description
We are looking for a competent individual either
with previous experience in an accountancy practice or an individual who is
looking to start their accountancy career.
A Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship would be considered for an applicant with experience or previous qualification.
The role will entail accounting and
taxation work for a portfolio of clients working on various software packages,
excel & client paper records. There will also be other ad hoc duties, which
may include some bookkeeping, VAT and payroll depending on the candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Chasing
clients for their information and dealing with client queries
- Bookkeeping
duties including the reviewing of bookkeeping software to ensure financial
information is up-to-date, accurate and free from error
- Preparation
and submission of VAT returns to HMRC
- Preparation
and submission of statutory accounts to Companies House
- Preparation
and submission of corporation tax returns to HMRC
- Preparation
and submission of self-assessment tax returns to HMRC
- Assistance
with preparation of P11D forms
- Dealing
and corresponding with HMRC
- General
administrative duties and other duties as assigned
The successful applicant will need to:
- Be a
qualified accountant to AAT or above or be willing to work towards
achieving such qualifications
- Have
an aptitude for figures and an interest in business and commerce
- Have
excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
