At Graphic Packaging International, we produce the paper cup that held your coffee this morning, the basket that transported those bottles of craft beer you enjoyed last weekend, and the microwave tray that heated your gourmet meal last night. 



We have over 130 facilities worldwide that provide innovative packaging solutions to help our customers stand out and achieve brand loyalty in a competitive and dynamic marketplace. 



Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. 
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience.
This is a Data Essentials - Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Material Controller / Admin Apprentice.



Salary:
£25,000 per annum.



Key responsibilities:





  • Co-ordinate calling in of materials in line with the plan


  • Daily download from Avante to effectively plan material requirements


  • Update Delivery schedule upon confirmation from Supplier/Hauliers


  • Avante stock reconciliation and supplier stock report reconciliations


  • Organise Group material transfers


  • Checking off raised Purchase Orders v supplier confirmation


  • Maintain Avante MIS system with updated data


  • Closure of old/incomplete purchase orders


  • Booking in supplier deliveries/checking delivery paperwork


  • Resolve invoice queries




What we are looking for: 
Key skills: 





  • Having a high standard of Microsoft Excel skills is required 


  • Experience with purchasing and MRP is preferred, but not essential 


  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 


  • Some planning experience is preferred, but is not essential 


  • Reliable and flexible with strong work ethic 


  • Able to effectively prioritise and adapt to variable workload 


  • A pro-active and can do attitude is required 


  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business priorities and assignments




Entry requirements:





  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject


  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)


  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject




You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.



If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
