Description

The Cumbria Rural Academy is the hub of the community. (Bigland Hall equestrian.) Working here offers an individual the opportunity to develop a great range of skills and knowledge, extending beyond Equine care. An equine groom here will also play a great part in supporting the people we serve.

The Equine daily role will include

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tacking up and tack cleaning
  • Feeding and filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing and rug changing
  • Schooling and riding for the right candidate
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walking, long reining, pessonal training, etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
