Description

Hollie Swain is a young, ambitious New Zealand International event rider currently working towards building a team of horses, owners and sponsors to represent New Zealand.

The successful candidate will be put through their learning modules to the highest standard with lots of opportunity to gain experience and training on and off the yard at competitions.

General yard duties to include mucking out, turning out/brining in, feeding/hay/water, tacking up and tack cleaning.

You must have experience and ideally have looked after your own horse. - Possibility to bring your own horse for the right candidate.

Must have a driver's licence.

5 days a week, 30-40 hours.

GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
Call Haddon Training to discuss if not yet achieved - Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills Maths and English
Full training for the apprenticeship and maths and English (if required) supported by Haddon Training.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic - you must want to work in the industry and understand the expectations when working on a competition yard.
  • Can do attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • reliability and punctuality is essential.
Possibility of progressing to the Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2.
Livery is a possibility.
