Description
Main responsibilitiesGeneral:
- To understand and ensure compliance with the Accounts Rules in relation to all tasks.
- To avoid any breaches of the Accounts Rules.
- To ensure that client and office accounts are kept up to date accurately.
- To be approachable/flexible and keen to learn
Key areas:
- Client & Office account transactions:
- To process proformas and produce all types of bills (Individual, Multi matter bulk bills)
- To assist in the processing and input of information from spreadsheets for bill production
- To action K2 bills and queries
- To work as part of a larger team ensuring bills are produced accurately and in a timely manner
- Post fees and other charges daily
- To liaise with other cashiering staff regarding other, dependant transactions
- To respond to accounting queries
- To carry out any transfers i.e., client to client, matter to matter, client to bill, client to disbursement and disbursement to disbursements in accordance with Shoosmiths policies.

A minimum of 5 x GCSE English & Maths – grade 4 or above
Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant apprenticeship standard, which includes:

One of the benefits of working

Working week: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm
Annual Salary: £14,000 first 12
months, real living wage thereafter (this is currently £23,400)
