We are excited to announce a Business Analyst Apprentice position within the Planning & Engagement team, available in Edinburgh City Centre. Computershare has supported numerous apprentices so you are in safe hands! The apprenticeship aims to build comprehensive knowledge of the role, with mentorship provided for developing into a self-sufficient Business Analyst. Training will include shadowing and cyber security education.



This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to learn on the job, through training and experience. You will be part of a supportive and experienced network and your role will have a direct impact on the delivery of our agreed service levels with our customers.



Responsibilities:





  • Develop technical understanding of the security environment and business applications


  • Understand principles of information security risk management


  • Assist in creating monthly/quarterly dashboards and reporting packs


  • Help collate, maintain, and monitor key security, demand, risk, and training data


  • Support backlog management within our demand system


  • Promote a strong security culture


  • Enhance collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills


  • Analyse exceptions to ensure data accuracy


  • Apply industry best practices and innovative thinking to improve monitoring and analytics


  • Build strong relationships with global and regional technology team




You will need the following skills:





  • Clear verbal/written communication 


  • Attention to detail


  • Tact and diplomacy when dealing with challenging customers, stakeholders or sensitive issues 


  • A continuous improvement attitude 


  • High standard of customer/stakeholder enquiry management 


  • Analytically minded 


  • Results orientated with ability to identify problems and have solution focus 




Salary:



£21,000 per annum



Working hours:



Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.



On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 8.
