Description

Boyton Hall is a relaxed and welcoming Equine Centre, caring for horses at all levels. They are looking for an Apprentice Groom to support them in caring for the horses, as well as carrying out general yard duties such as:

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out
  • Grooming
  • Clipping
  • Plaiting
  • Lunging

The Centre offers excellent facilities for an apprentice to get an excellent all round experience of working with horses.

There may be the opportunity to ride as part of this role, but this will be dependent upon the successful applicants experience.


On completion of the course, you will gain a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification and the opportunity to progress.


Hours of work will be 5 days out of 7, to include 1 weekend day, and the work hours are between 7am and 5pm.

Previous experience working with horses is preferred.
A grade C/4 in English or maths at GCSE is desired.


If you do not have your English and maths GCSE pass, you will be supported with Functional Skills during your apprenticeship to support you in achieving these.

On site training is provided by Boyton Hall, with monthly training sessions delivered by your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

For the right candidate, Boyton Hall would be prepared to support with ongoing qualifications and further experience. If completing the Level 2 Equine Groom, there may be the option to continue on to study the Level 3 Senior Groom qualification.
Boyton Hall is in a countryside location, so you must ensure you are able to travel to and from the location.

There is accommodation available on site if required

Livery for your own horse may be possible - please enquire at interview stage.
