Description

Coach Core's vision is to drive social mobility through apprenticeships and sport, so that every young person can reach their true potential and inspire those around them. Since our launch in 2012, we have worked with over 150 of the biggest sports providers, youth clubs and charities in the country, supporting over 500 young people.

The Community Activator Coach role is the perfect opportunity to understand the role of sport and physical activity in the Community.

As an Assistant Gymnastics Coach you will:

- Assist in the delivering of Coaching Sessions

- Assist in the planning of sessions, suggesting to the senior managers any ideas you may have that can keep the sessions fresh and exciting.

- Be able to work effectively as a team, as well as on your own

- Take out British Gymnastics Insurance and renew it yearly

- Complete safeguarding training and undergo full DBS check

- Complete First Aid Training

- Provide high energy, engaging and progressive sessions for kids and adults alike

- Attend all staff training days

- Maintain highest safety levels

- A desire to develop your coaching with support from the club attending British Gymnastics workshops and courses.

- Punctuality and Good standard of personal appearance.

- Help plan and run fundraising events for the club.

- Help with the marketing of the club.

- Learn about the clubs services

- Be able to communicate effectively with customers.

During quiet times you may be asked to complete some cleaning as well as any admin deemed suitable for you to assist with.

What your apprenticeship includes:

-A mixture of face to face and online catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks to discuss feedback and progress

-A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars

-Reviews every 12 weeks with your Line Manager and apprenticeship Trainer

-The chance to get Functional Skills in English and maths (if you don't already have GCSE)

You will work towards your community activator coach l2 qualification over the course of 12-18 months

Many of our staff our homegrown and have naturally developed from gymnasts/other sports into Coaches. We as a Club support and mentor our coaches through their qualifications and are always on hand to advise and guide them through their Coaching career in order to get the best out of them and their coaching.
Working as a Gymnastics Coach you need to have the patience and enthusiasm to work with children. Ultimately the children bounce off the energy and attention you are giving them. The applicant will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check before commencing employment.
