Description

Ducklings in Moreton prides itself on being fully involved in the community and is the longest established day nursery in Moreton.

As a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice, duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Toileting
  • Feeding children
  • Reading stories
  • Planning activities.
  • Doing risk assessments
  • Safeguarding children
  • Communicating with children and parents

  • No formal qualifications are required but candidates must have basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Ducklings Day Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
  • Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This will be delivered through Ducklings Day Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise.

Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.

  • Smart and presentable
  • A passion to work with Children

  • Once qualified at Level 2 candidates can progress onto their Childcare Level 3 or Team leader/supervisor Level 3 qualification.

  • You will be on your feet all day, its very busy but very rewarding!
