Salary - £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependant on age and experience)



Role Overview:



The Project Management apprentice will support project management activities within the Aquilla development team. This will include updating project management documentation and working alongside the development team.



Duties and Responsibilities: 





  • Plan and manage Azure software development projects from start to finish


  • Develop project timelines, schedules and budgets (time) 


  • Liaise with developers, suppliers and customers


  • Manage project documentation


  • Communicate with stakeholders to align business goals and manage expectations


  • Identify and address project risks


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, support, PM, senior management) 


  • Chair an internal weekly meeting to discuss all current projects and future resource planning (program board meeting)




Essential Qualities and Attributes:



(Knowledge and experience) 



A professional approach, ensuring Aqua's support and development standards are adhered too. Some exposure to banking systems and experience of interpreting technical documentation procedures is desirable. Experience with service and release management tools. Exposure to ICBS, Midas, Olympic and IBIS.

  • Organisational Skills: A project manager organises and schedules timetables to ensure they complete projects successfully and on time. 


  • Good communication: A project manager must deploy effective communication skills through the project life-cycle, interacting with Stakeholders, senior management and development teams both face to face and written.


  • Leadership: The ability to manage and mobilise a team. 


  • Budget Management: A project manager creates a budget and adheres to it; cutting unnecessary expenses and funding all aspects appropriately.

Entry requirements for this programme are as follows:





  • Level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/1 x A Level in any subject/BTEC etc.)


  • OR equivalent work experience (typically 2 years in a relevant role)
    PLUS


  • 5 x GCSE’s including English & Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
