As part of the people team, we are looking for an IT support engineer able to support our teams in our different offices. You will have the opportunity to grow in Smarkets as we expand and onboard new functions. 
Your input will be crucial in shaping the role, defining its direction, and automating processes where possible. We're looking for someone eager to learn and play a significant role in supporting our teams.



Salary: £25,000 per annum.



Responsibilities: 





  • Offer technical assistance for internal systems across all offices


  • Diagnose, identify, research, and proactively resolve technical issues


  • Set up and configure Mac and dell hardware, operating systems, and applications


  • Configure network, devices, printers, and conference systems




Role Requirements:





  • Good Windows, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO modelling


  • Good networking experience (LAN/WAN/VLANs Firewalls)


  • Experience supporting Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems


  • Experience with PowerShell and other common scripting languages


  • Basic knowledge of Virtualisation technologies and practices (VMware, Hyper V)




The successful candidate will be required to have the following personal skills:





  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly / the ability to work in a fast moving


  • Excellent time management recording and management




Entry requirements:





  • an A-Level in ICT


  • OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 ICT


  • OR an A-Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject


  • OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)




You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.



If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
