Description

Primary Care Sheffield (PCS) is a not-for-profit company set up by GPs in Sheffield to help deliver world-class primary care in the City.

They exist to create services which make the health and care system work better for everyone. To do that they are focussed on bringing more services closer to the places people live, improving the quality of care, and breaking down the barriers between different types of services.

As an Apprentice Business Administrator you will;

  • Work with the data coding team to support practices with basic admin, such as scanning, filing, opening post etc
  • Be provided with opportunities to learn about wider business functions, and practice systems
  • Trained to use patient systems to run reports
  • Support with mail opening and stamping
  • Scan patient letters and attach corresponding ones to patient records
  • Check and manage email boxes
  • Train to undertake additional patient searches, and supporting data team with coding
  • Support in collating and work with Data Team PPA lead to submit claims
  • Support the Coding team to code and process letters
  • Establish excellent working relationships with practices, neighbourhoods and localities

Working in a nice modern office space, 9-5 working hours, you will get free parking and 25 days annual leave plus stat bank holidays. This is an excellent opportunity to start working in a busy admin environment

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Primary Care Sheffield will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 3 Business administration apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship standard
  • Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This will be delivered through Primary Care Sheffield's dedicated training provider, Realise.
