Dalblair Medical Practice are a local GP practice based in Ayr who pride ourselves on patient care and we are looking to add a like minded individual to the team. We are going through a period of growth and looking to expand the reception team as a result. Over the last few years, we have taken on several apprentices to offer them experience within our industry. We are now able to open another opportunity and keen to nurture an apprentice into the team.

Overview:

This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual who is looking to gain experience in a small practice and develop their career. This is an entry-level role but a pivotal one, as you can grow as the practice ds!

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a helpdesk capacity to support the practice, as the first point of contact to problem solve client enquiries

  • Log progress of patients on Docman, review appointments and report back on them to the relevant parties

  • Export reports into Excel using data collected from patients

  • Deal with prescription management using logs

  • Upload relevant documentation to SharePoint to ensure all patient files remain accurate

  • Work collaboratively across the team to manage client expectations and animal progress

Desirable skills:

  • Some knowledge of Office 365, Excel and Word would be useful – all other systems can be taught

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Good attention to detail and multitasking

  • Good relationship building skills

  • Passion for customer service

Salary:

£11,700 per annum

Working hours:

30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm

Benefits:

  • No weekends

  • All public holidays off

  • Employee assistance programme

  • Free parking at practice if applicable

Future prospects:

Potential to grow into a full time role on completion of apprenticeship either within this practice or across the healthcare network.
