Description
Hackleton Preschool playgroup is a charity that has been operating for over 53 years in the heart of Hackleton village. The preschool offers a safe, stimulating and homely environment for your child to grow and learn. The pre-school is warm and welcoming and understands that all children are unique.
Your day to day will involve;
• providing the highest level of childcare and early education experiences for all children within the pre-school.
• using your knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage & child development to plan and implement play-based, interest led, learning activities on a daily basis.
• working as part of a well-qualified & experienced staff team and contributing to the running and development of the pre-school.
• everyday care routines such as toileting and personal hygiene
• enhancing the environment based on the child’s voice
• observing and record keeping of children's development ensuring they are reaching their Early Years milestones.
• planning to meet their individual needs supported by establishing positive relationships with parents and carers including their child’s successes.
• establishing strong professional relationships with the children, their parents and your colleagues.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a childcare setting (children 5 years and under) is
- essential; knowledge of the Montessori approach to education and in the moment planning with be an advantage

- Must hold a level 2 qualification in early years or be willing to undertake a 6 weeks skills bootcamp in early years.
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out
by your employer. Hackleton Pre-school will
provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your
role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working
day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through Hackleton Pre-school's dedicated training provider, Realise.
We are looking for an individual who can inspire a child’s imagination, make numerous amounts of pretend cups of tea, ride the pirate ships to the seven seas, be covered in glitter from head to toe and sing your heart out daily to a very appreciative audience! - At the end of the apprenticeship you will be a highly trained Early Years Educator. Depending on the setting in which you work you could progress onto becoming a room leader or taking on additional specialisms such as Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator or the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
