Description
It is the objective of Cliff house nursery to provide the highest standards of care and education for all the children in the day nursery. As part of the role as a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice your responsibilities will include:
- Toileting
- Feeding
- Planning activities
- Doing risk assessments
- Reading stories
- Health and Safety
- Communicating with children and parents
Full training will be given in-house as well as "off the job" training with Realise.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Cliff House Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through Cliff House Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise.

Patience and a sense of humour, as well as an interest in Early Years education.

The nursery is accessible via the No 14 Bus Route, as well as the bus service that runs along Ribbleton Avenue. On site parking is available. Completion of a clear DBS is essential.
