Description
We are looking for a nursery apprentice to join our experienced team at Minibugs Nurseries. This position involves L3 apprenticeship so you will need to commit to studying childcare as well as providing an outstanding childcare experaince to the children.
The hours will be 37.5 per week on a shift basis, between 7.15 and 6.05 we normally do two 10 hour shifts and 3 5.83 hour shifts
As a Level 3 apprentice you be be required to:
- Meet the physical needs of children by encouraging good standards of personal hygiene, whilst promoting independence.
- Provide support for the children’s emotional and social needs by implementing the principles for promoting positive behaviour and role modelling high standards in all aspects of their role and personal conduct.
- Have a child-centred approach to the running of the setting
- Promote positive values, attitudes and good child behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents among children in line with established positive behaviour policy and encouraging children to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
- Respond appropriately to issues regarding confidentiality

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Mini Bugs will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through Mini Bugs dedicated training provider, Realise.
