Capgemini Defence Academy – Apprenticeships

Overview:
The Academy is a unique training opportunity, crafted to enable you to gain knowledge and experience across a variety of areas in IT. 
You will be placed on an apprenticeship pathway, supplemented by further internal and external training with the ambition to obtain globally recognised certifications. 
All we ask is that you're open to learn new things and are willing to adapt to different career paths. 


The Academy allows you to earn as you learn through an apprenticeship, gain industry standard certifications and the skills needed to set you up for your career within Capgemini, one of the best work environments for Technology, Women and Wellbeing. 


Salary: Your starting salary will be £20,500 per annum. 


Duties: 
What you'll be doing:
Following the initial induction and with continued training and support, you will find yourself involved in various tasks where you will put your learning into practice. 


This program may grant you the exposure to new areas across Capgemini with tasks involving, but not limited to:



  • Supporting on projects and generating business insights from data 

  • Building and supporting Cloud environments 

  • Resolving IT issues

What you’ll need:
Essential skills: 



  • Flexible: enjoy adapting to change, thriving in environments that require you to tackle new information 

  • An excellent teammate: enjoy working with and supporting others, while also being comfortable to ask for help when you need it 

  • A growth mindset: drive your career and learning forward, striving to improve and develop yourself 

  • Logical: able to take a thorough approach when solving problems, breaking tasks down and seeking to understand the big picture 

  • Accountable: able to take ownership of tasks and hold yourself accountable for what you have delivered 


Essential:
As part of this role, you will be required to go through a Security Clearance process, more information on this process will be shared with you at application. 


Entry requirements:



  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)

  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject


You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.


If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
