Employer description:
Hyperext Limited specialises in solving integration problems for Sage 50 accounting and payroll systems. They work across Windows, Linux and Apple platforms using the latest JSON API technologies.



Overview: 
With a burgeoning array of server resources, they are looking to recruit and train a DevOps Apprentice to join their expanding team. 



They need a dynamic, quick learner with a flair for technology to assist with software testing and deployment, whilst ensuring the reliability and security of our infrastructure in the face of emerging threats. 



To be considered for the role of DevOps Engineer Apprentice, you must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in computer science and the software development life cycle.



Salary: £19,500 per annum.



Duties: 
As a DevOps Engineer Apprentice, you will:





  • Orchestrate seamless collaboration between development and operations


  • Streamlining software delivery and enhancing system reliability


  • General duties that span across coding, automation, and infrastructure


  • Ensuring the continuous integration and deployment of applications


  • In the dynamic realm of DevOps, you'll be the bridge between code and deployment


  • Driving agility and performance across the software development lifecycle


  • Engage in software projects that demand innovative thinking and creative problem solving


  • Collaborating in a team environment


  • Challenge deadlines through the whole software development lifecycle




Desired skills: 





  • Genuine interest in computer science and the software development life cycle


  • Experience in a technical support capacity


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


  • Any experience with any of the following: PHP, MySQL, Linux, Apache, Web Hosting Manager (WHM/Cpanel), Software Testing, TeamViewer




Entry requirements: 





  • A Level in STEM subject, or


  • BTEC Diploma in STEM subject, or


  • Level 3 IT apprenticeship




Hours of work:





  • Monday to Friday, 


  • 9am - 5pm, 


  • 37.5hrs per week.

Future prospects:
