Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to become part the Minibugs nursery family.

Duties may include;
- To support the management team in supporting the nursery to reach an ‘Outstanding’ grade with Ofsted.
- Support the children’s development, learning and play. Assist with operating a programme of activities suitable to the age range of the children in conjunction with other staff
- Assist in observing, supporting and extending children's learning through planning appropriately for children using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for guidance
- Gain understanding of being a Key Person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families through effective parent partnerships.
- Gain understanding of logging all relevant observations, assessments and learning journey milestones to a high standard and be able to evidence how this has supported your planning.
- Gain understanding of maintaining accurate and effective children’s records and records of progress.
- Promote the inclusion of all children.
- Meet the physical needs of children by encouraging good standards of personal hygiene, whilst promoting independence.
- Provide support for the children’s emotional and social needs by implementing the principles for promoting positive behaviour and role modelling high standards in all aspects of their role and personal conduct.
- Have a child-centred approach to the running of the setting Promote positive values, attitudes and good child behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents among children in line with established positive behaviour policy and encouraging children to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
- Respond appropriately to issues regarding confidentiality
The hours are 37.5 per week on a shift basis, between 7.15 and 6.05.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Minibugs Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day
If successful, you will complete a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship programme, which includes;
- Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
- Functional skills in Maths and English if required
