Salary- Starting at £31,000, rising to £32,250 in the second year.
LocationVictoria Station House, London
- Initially, four days per week in the office and one day working from home.
- Flexibility for additional remote working may be agreed with your Line Manager.

What Will I Be Doing?The two-year programme comprises three 8-month rotations, tailored to provide comprehensive training and experience.
Sample Placements:
Commercial Property Management:
- Handle lease renewals, rent reviews, and property inspections.
- Manage building maintenance using service charge budgets.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Operational Property:
- Gain experience in rating, compulsory purchase orders (CPOs), and dilapidations.
- Liaise with third-party surveyors regarding service charges and inspections.
- Act as both landlord and tenant agent.
Property Development:
- Conduct development appraisals, valuations, and site inspections.
- Work within planning regulations.
- Train in valuation tools like Argus.
Graduates begin in the Commercial Property or Asset Management team, with subsequent placements tailored to their career goals.
Where Can This Career Take Me?Graduates completing the scheme may transition to roles like:
- Senior Property Surveyor
- Development Manager
- Property Manager
TfL supports leadership, technical, and professional development through structured training and hands-on experience.
RICS Chartership:
- TfL will support you through the RICS APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) process.
Training and SupportTfL offers comprehensive professional development, including:
- Placement Manager: Oversees daily tasks and progress.
- Scheme Sponsor: Senior manager providing technical guidance.
- Buddy: A peer (graduate or apprentice) who helps you integrate into the organization.
- Development Adviser: Offers career coaching and guidance.
- RICS Councillor: Provides professional support toward your APC.
- RICS Supervisor: Assists with day-to-day APC requirements.
