What Makes Us Different?This is the only scheme that offers experience across the entire business. It is pan-TfL, meaning you can move from government relations to finance, stations to HR, and beyond.
Salary£31,000, rising to £32,250 in the second year.
LocationLondon/Hybrid
- 50% of your time will be split between the office/on-site and remote working over a 4-week period.

Entry Requirements- A minimum of a 2:2 degree in any discipline.

SustainabilitySustainability is central to TfL’s ethos. During the scheme, you’ll:
- Complete Carbon Literacy training, with the opportunity to become a trainer.
- Undertake placements contributing to TfL’s green strategy, ensuring the organisation operates as a sustainable heartbeat for London.
What Will I Be Doing?Your two-year programme consists of up to four placement rotations. Each placement is an opportunity to build essential skills and explore the business.
Scheme StructureOperational Placement – London Underground (4 weeks):
- Gain frontline experience to understand the network's operations.
Office-Based Placement (6 months):
- A structured placement arranged to provide insight into core business functions.
Surface Operational Placement (4 weeks):
- Work on areas like riverboats or with TfL’s policing teams to support network security.
Flexible Placements:
- You’ll have the freedom to choose placements based on your interests and career aspirations.
