Description
An Early Years Apprenticeship at Samuel Christians Nursery offers you the chance to gain a nationally recognised qualification that will help you enjoy a rewarding, worthwhile and fun career in childcare.
All our staff are committed to ensuring that the children within our care enjoy a safe, stimulating and challenging environment and for us that includes an opportunity for them to enjoy the love of God through song, prayer and Bible stories in simple appropriate form.
As an apprentice at this setting you will be responsible for:
- Setting up and closing down rooms
- Supporting children at activities
- Supporting to carry out specific target with some children
- Promoting good use of language through role modelling language with comments, questions etc
- Supporting with self-care (nappy changes, assisting with toileting needs)
working hours will be Mon-Fri 8.30am-3.30pm = 32.5 hrs per week (term time only)

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Samuels Christian Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through Samuel's Christian Nurseries dedicated training provider, Realise.
