Description

The Apprentice School Business Assistant will be first point of contact for pupils, parents and visitors in person and through telephone and email communications. They will provide a positive and professional service whilst ensuring that procedures to safeguard pupils are followed.

Office duties including -

•Assisting parents and visitors with queries

•Greeting and signing in visitors in accordance with the school’s safeguarding procedures

•Answering telephones

•Responding to emails

•Providing information and key messages through school communication channels including website, newsletter and class dojo

•Use of internal databases for recording information

•Providing clerical support to the Headteacher and School Business Manager

•Other administrative duties including photocopying, filing, checking and maintaining stationary stocks, counting and preparing cash for banking and any other duties as directed by the School Business Manager.

The post holder will be required to carry out their duties whilst adhering to the Data Protection Policy and Safeguarding Policy.

37 hours per week - 8.15am - 4.00 pm - Monday to Friday (Term time only)

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Level 2 Functional English and Maths will form part of the qualification if the successful candidate does not already have GCSE English and Maths, grade A*-C. No experience is required. The role would suit a confident and outgoing individual.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer Bolsover Church of England Primary school will provide you with all the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 3 Business administration apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship standard
  • Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This will be delivered through Bolsover Church of England Primary school dedicated training provider, Realise.
