Description

Emma Forsyth has evented at the top at 5* level. She now spends alot of time coaching riders to achieve their dreams.

She is looking for an apprentice position to assist with general running of a busy commercial yard. Horses are a mixture of Event / Dressage horses and ponies.

Candidate must be honest and self motivated to work to a high standard in industry time. A cheerful person who has a true love for horses and is willing to offer them the best of care at all times.

We have a beautiful rural location and a new purpose built barn and large arena. Riding is possible for a suitably capable jockey.General duties will include:-

  • Lunging
  • Feeding
  • Grooming
  • Mucking Out
  • Turning out

Working hours will be from 7.30am and you will be required to work some weekends.

There is no accommodation on site but own horse welcome. This apprenticeship is based practically on site so not lots of time spent in a classroom. If you didn't gain your GCSE's in Maths & English then we can support you to gain them whilst on programme.

You must be a UK resident or have lived in the EU for 3 years or more.

Must have previous experience with large horses

A GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.

- STANDARDISED PARAGRAPH IF PASSES ARE NEEDED:

You must have a grade C or 4 in English and maths at GCSE level to be considered for this role.

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

Looking for a smily person who can communicate well and work as part of a team to help the smooth running of the business.

Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Opportunity to progress with further coaching / horse care qualifications.
