Description

Glapthorn Manor Stables are a small friendly yard offering livery and riding lessons in Dressage, jumping and Stable Management, holiday pony days as well as relaxed hacking in the beautiful local countryside.

Riding will available for the right candidate as height and weight restrictions applied due to riding ponies and opportunities to assist with shows and competitions.

They are an experienced team having had apprentices in the past and as a riding school there are a number of on site instructors so plenty of training will be given to support you in your apprenticeship. In addition, BHS training can be offered for the right candidate via the riding centre.

General yard duties and horse care management on a daily basis include: mucking out, turning out and bringing in & rug changes, feeding and filling hay nets, grooming, tacking up for lessons, yard and paddock maintenance.

The apprenticeship is based fulltime onsite so not lots of time based in the classroom. If you did not gain your GCSE's at school we can help you to achieve these whilst on programme.

Due to location you would need to drive or have reliable transport to take you in.

Interview will be a trial day at the yard

You must be a UK resident or have lived in the EU for over 3 years to apply.
