Job Duties include:
Working closely with the Finance Director (ACCA qualified) and Chief Finance Officer (ICAEW), both of whom bring invaluable experience from private practice, as well as a CFO who previously ran her own accountancy practice, this is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of finance.
In this role, you will be involved in everything from day to day accounting to more technical areas such as
- R & D claims.
- Corporation Tax calculations.
You will play a key part in the financial operations of the company, gaining a well-rounded understanding of both the day-to-day and the more complex financial functions.

Foundation covers the basic principles of accountancy, and is your starting point if you’ve never studied accountancy before. You’ll learn the basic principles of accountancy, such as double-entry bookkeeping, costing and preparing financial statements, as well as how to use accountancy software.
This level is ideal if you’re new to accountancy and finance, have previously worked in an accounts department, or are looking to change your career into Accountancy.
To pass this level, you'll be examined on five units. All assessments are computer-based exams (CBE). The area you will cover include:
- Bookkeeping transactions.
- Bookkeeping controls.
- Elements of costing.
- Using accounting software.
- Foundation Synoptic Assessment.
Training will be provided either via classroom or remote sessions. An apprenticeship has to be relevant to the job you are undertaking and you must dedicate 20% of their time towards it.
We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic recent school leaver to kick-start their career in accountancy.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to move onto ACCA qualification after completing their AAT while gaining invaluable experience within the business. As you grow with the company, there will be ample opportunities to take on more responsibility, develop your professional skills, and contribute to the strategic direction of the finance department. With dedication and performance, you can progress to become an integral part of the business.
The salary is between £12.5k-£14k depending on qualifications and experience.
