AquaGen is a company specialising in genetic improvement and breeding of Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout. 
We provide high-quality, genetically optimized eggs to fish farmers to improve fish health, growth rates, and overall productivity in aquaculture.



Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. 



Program: Digital Applications Support SCQF Level 6



Location: Beta Centre Unit 8-9, Stirling University Innovation Park, Stirling, Stirlingshire, FK9 4NF



Duties: 





  • Serve as the first point of contact for the wider team regarding purchasing resources.


  • Become a system expert using Xero to develop financial reports in collaboration with the Account Service provide and management team.


  • Prepare and issue invoices using Xero for goods and services.


  • Utilising MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) to an expert level.


  • Assist in budget preparation and participate in monthly financial update meetings.


  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations.


  • Arrange timely payment of due invoices.


  • Identify and flag areas of concern related to accounting and cash flow.


  • Ensure company records remain up to date (e.g., Companies House, DVLA, etc.).


  • Maintain open communication with the Financial Controller in NOR.

Working week:
35hrs a week.



Salary:
£14,976 per annum.
