As an Early Years Practitioner Apprentice at The Nursery On The Green, you will work under the supervision of qualified childcare professionals to provide high-quality care and education for young children. This position is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience while working towards a recognised childcare qualification.
Your daily roles and responsibilities will include;
Assist in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote children's development
Support the physical, emotional, and social needs of children in a safe and stimulating environment
Help with daily routines, such as feeding, changing, and supervising naps
Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by maintaining hygiene standards
Observe and monitor children's progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff
The ability to sing in tune is not essential - the ability to sing out of tune in front of crowds is essential
You must be able to distribute warm hugs as required
The ability to rapidly count numerous moving heads, of small people ns of the upmost importance
You must be comfortable with discussing bodily functions, and having the ability for a rapid response to them
Pretending to eat playdough creations with enthusiasm and numerous cups of imaginary tea will be required
You must be able to read a book upside down with at least 3 interruptions per page
You must be able to laugh, find the funny side and have fun whilst you work
Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and appreciated by so many people
Alongside these daily roles and responsibilities, you will be working towards the Early Years Practitioner Level 2 apprenticeship, over the duration of 15 months, at The Nursery on The Green - Pill.
