The ambition of the Movement to
Work programme is to provide young people aged 16 to 30 years, who are not in
education,?employment, or training, the opportunity to gain?experience, skills,
and confidence to improve their job prospects through the provision of

To be eligible you will need to
be:
• aged between 16 and 30.
• Not in Education, Employment,
or Training.
• In receipt of benefits.
(Universal credit, Job Seekers Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance).
• Looking to gain an
understanding of what it is like to work in the Civil Service.
Movement to Work placements:
• Can take place face to face,
virtually or hybrid (a combination of both).
• Can vary in length from 1
week up to 12 weeks, depending on the placement.
• Can be run in groups as well
as individually.
The best bits:
• Your benefits won’t be
affected.
• You will have plenty of
opportunities to develop skills and knowledge.
• You will have a chance to
build confidence and self-esteem through project work.
• and opportunities to develop
team working, presentation and research skills.
• Whilst enhancing your
employability skills, by completing applications, learning the latest interview
techniques and improving your CV.
• You will be provided with one
to one support from an experienced manager.
• Meet other young people and
share experiences.
• and Meet and hear from a
range of guest and inspirational speakers.
