Description
Purpose of the Job
- To carry out duties within the Finance department and perform such other tasks as reasonably requested by the Finance Manager
- To liaise with the Finance team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department as a whole
Employment Duties
- To take reasonable care for her/his own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by her/his acts or omissions at work.
- To establish and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the team.
- To identify his/her own training and development needs to be discussed within staff appraisal.
- Performing any other tasks as reasonably requested by your Manager
Key Responsibilities
- To provide high quality support to the Finance team & Manager
- Weekly processing of bank reconciliations for practices
- Processing invoices including posting, allocation & payment, stamping and filing
- Statement reconciliations
- Cross checking Petty cash and reimbursements
- Maintaining Direct Debit schedules/Bank mandate set up, posting on Sage and tracking
- Posting supplier invoices and payments on accounting system weekly in line with aged creditors list
- Saving, sharing and filing dentist pay and creating summary sheets
- Cash report analysis and reconciliation
- Maintaining company credit cards, posting and uploading
- Filing of invoices and other administrative duties as delegated
- Maintaining daily, weekly and monthly overdue invoices
- Attending and resolving queries raised by suppliers, practices, management & auditors
- To carry out any other duties and responsibilities required by Finance Manager that are within the employee’s skills and abilities wherever reasonably instructed
- Archiving
- Assisting with all projects undertaken to improve business function

- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Knowledge/ experience with Sage (desirable)
5 GCSEs Grades A-C including English and Maths.
