Work Pattern: Hybrid (minimum of 3 days on a Schneider Electric site)
Role Mission:
As a Tendering Engineer Apprentice, you will report to the MTO (Made to Order) Tendering Manager and the wider Canalis team. You will be responsible for preparing technical submissions, reviewing commercial proposals for busbar systems (a type of electrical distribution system), providing technical support to the Canalis sales team, preparing orders, engaging with installation teams, and communicating directly with commercial clients and customers. You will ensure all requirements are thoroughly met through accurate and competitive submissions.
Visits to customer offices and construction sites will be part of the training. You will learn about Schneider Electric’s Low Voltage Power Products and Low Voltage busbar trunking systems (which are used to distribute electricity safely and efficiently) and join a vibrant, dynamic, and supportive team. During the apprenticeship, you will join members of the wider team in various parts of the UK business and potentially some overseas training.
Key Responsibilities:
Proposal Preparation: Review customer specifications and requirements to prepare technically compliant and commercially competitive proposals for electrical distribution systems, including tailored busbar solutions.
Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and provide technical support during the proposal process.
Technical Assessment: Conduct technical assessments to determine the most suitable electrical distribution solutions for customer applications.
Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, including technical, product management, and procurement, to gather inputs for proposals.
Standards Compliance: Ensure proposal documents meet technical and commercial standards and reflect Schneider Electric's value proposition.
Customer Interaction: Participate in proposal clarification meetings and technical discussions with customers as required.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of proposal processes and tools for customised electrical distribution solutions.
