Role Mission:
As an Industrial Engineer Apprentice, you will gain a strong understanding of industrial processes, optimisation techniques, and project management principles. By working collaboratively and focusing on efficiency, you’ll help design and implement innovative, sustainable solutions that improve productivity, quality, and safety within our plant. Through hands-on experience and continuous learning, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the business, ensuring that products assembled on site meet the highest standards of design and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Manufacturing Specialisation: Specialise in improving different areas of production and manufacturing at Schneider Electric, focusing on enhancing processes and driving ongoing improvements.
Process & Equipment Updates: Update existing production processes, workstations, and equipment to improve efficiency, including both manual and automated systems.
New Production Line Design: Help design new production lines and processes that meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Efficiency & Waste Reduction: Use techniques to make production more efficient and reduce waste.
Production Challenges & Solutions: Work with the team to identify production challenges and find quick solutions.
Production Capacity Management: Manage production capacity and workloads, ensuring the work is balanced between teams and locations.
Time Reduction & Training Materials: Focus on reducing production time, ensuring there’s enough capacity on the production line, and creating training materials for workers.
Investment Assessment: Help assess investments to ensure they are cost-effective and meet the business's needs.
Efficient Processes: Make sure production processes are efficient both in the plant and at supplier locations.
New Process Introduction: Oversee the introduction of new production processes and help ramp up production when needed.
