Role Mission:
The Technical Project Engineer Apprentice role is part of the EcoFit team in Schneider Electric’s Leeds business. EcoFit focuses on delivering sustainable solutions for upgrading and retrofitting existing electrical equipment. These solutions aim to improve energy efficiency, extend the lifespan of infrastructure, and minimise environmental impact without the need for complete replacements. By implementing EcoFit, customers can optimise their operations while meeting sustainability goals.
In this role, you will manage customer orders from receipt through to engineering design and project delivery. This includes overseeing customer relationships, organising and leading customer meetings, and managing multiple orders for a range of legacy products, including medium and low voltage equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Management: Process and manage customer orders from receipt to dispatch, ensuring they are delivered on time, meet customer specifications, and stay within budget.
Customer & Department Liaison: Liaise with customers and factory departments on approvals, manufacturing, delivery, site work, and inspections.
Electrical Design Creation: Create electrical designs, wiring diagrams, and work instructions for manufacturing.
Contract Documentation: Prepare and provide necessary contract documents, such as wiring diagrams, user manuals, export documents, and risk assessments.
Contract Review: Regularly review contracts to ensure performance targets are met.
Contract Reporting: Report contract performance updates to the Team Manager.
