Description
A fantastic opportunity has become available at Playhouse Day Nursery. They are looking for an Apprentice Early Years Educator to join their setting, to fit well within their friendly team and learn skills on the job whilst supporting children’s play, learning & development.
Duties Will include
• Caring for children
• Preparing and maintaining environments to meet children's needs
• Supporting children's play and learning
• Supporting children's development
• Adhere to all safeguarding practices
• Preparing snacks and help with their feeding and cleaning
As an apprentice you will be included on a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship, this will involve a Regional Trainer meeting with you once a month, in the work place.
To become an apprentice, you must:
- be 16 or over
- not already be in full-time education
As an apprentice you’ll:
- complete a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard
- have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
- learn and train for a specific job
- get paid and receive holiday leave
- get hands-on experience in a real job
- study for at least 20% of your working hours
- complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
- be on a career path with lots of future potential
- be entitled to a TOTUM membership

Experience in an early years setting is essential plus the following skills

GCSE Maths & English grade 4/C is preferredLevel 2 Early Years Diploma/Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
