Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. As a member of our bar staff, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests. You will be responsible for serving beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of the bar area. This is a dynamic position that requires excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Provide friendly, efficient, and personalized service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and their experience is enjoyable.Drink Preparation: Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages promptly and accurately, following recipes and maintaining consistency.Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of our drink menu, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, to assist guests in making informed choices and provide recommendations.Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and tidy bar area, including the bar counter, glassware, utensils, and equipment. Adhere to health and safety regulations and follow proper sanitation procedures.Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain an organized cash register. Adhere to cash-handling policies and procedures.Order and Inventory Management: Assist with monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, and placing orders to ensure availability of beverages and bar essentials. Perform inventory counts as required.Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other bar staff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service and a positive work environment.Upselling and Promotion: Promote special offers, new beverages, and upcoming events to enhance guest experiences and drive sales.Problem Resolution: Address customer concerns, complaints, or special requests promptly and professionally, striving to find satisfactory resolutions.Bar Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, such as changing kegs, cleaning draft lines, and troubleshooting minor equipment issues. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.As an Apprentice you will be included on a Level 2 Hospitality team member qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by a Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.
To become an apprentice, you must:
- be 16 or over
- not already be in full-time education
As an apprentice you’ll:
- complete a Early Years apprenticeship standard
- have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
- learn and train for a specific job
- get paid and receive holiday leave
- get hands-on experience in a real job
- study for at least 20% of your working hours
- complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
- be on a career path with lots of future potential

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with guests and team members in a friendly and professional manner.- Strong multitasking abilities, including the capacity to handle multiple orders and tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions accurately.- Knowledge of drink recipes and mixology techniques is a plus.
Level 2 - Hospitality Team Member
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Things to consider The weekly wage reflects a 30 hour week, your hours may increase to 40 some weeks to suit the needs of the business
Your shifts will include evenings and weekends
