Omnis Communications is a dynamic telecommunications company based in the North East of England, founded in 2021 by Aimee Logan. Led by Andrew Logan, with over 18 years of industry experience, the company has grown into a team of over 30 skilled professionals.



Overview: 
We are looking for an enthusiastic Data Administrator Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship will provide you with hands-on experience in data management and analysis, while you work towards achieving a Level 3 Data Essentials Apprenticeship.



In this role, you’ll play a vital part in collecting, organising, and presenting data, supporting decision-making, and contributing to the smooth operation of our business.



Key Responsibilities:



Data Collection and Preparation:





  • Gather data securely from trusted sources using tools like Power BI or Tableau.


  • Clean and organize data by fixing errors, removing duplicates, and handling missing information.




Data Analysis and Presentation:





  • Create clear and informative visual reports for both technical and non-technical audiences using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.


  • Combine data from multiple sources to identify insights and solve business problems.




Planning and Organisation:





  • Coordinate meetings and events, take accurate minutes, and create action logs.


  • Manage resources such as equipment and logistics, including travel and accommodation arrangements.




Project Management:





  • Assist in planning, monitoring, and reporting on projects using appropriate tools and principles.


  • Contribute to the successful delivery of company initiatives.




Team Collaboration and Coaching:





  • Build and maintain positive relationships within the team and across departments.


  • Share knowledge, support colleagues, and help create a productive, collaborative work environment.




What We’re Looking For



Skills and Attributes:





  • A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.


  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.


  • IT literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).


  • Confidence in working independently and as part of a team.


  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a passion for data and continuous improvement




Drive, location not duties: 
Please note - Being able to drive is preferred but not essential as long as you are within an hour commute.



Entry requirements:





  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject


  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)


  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject




You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.



If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Future prospects:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you may progress to: 





  • A Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship OR


  • A full-time role within Omnis Communications as a Data Administrator or similar position.
