The Wendy House Day Nursery are known for high standards and personal approach, they believe that caring for children in smaller groups offers a more individual and personal level of care.As a level 3 early years apprentice, you will be;
- Caring for the children, assisting with meals and intimate care
- Engaging in a variety of learning opportunities with the children, narrating play
- Engaging in outdoor learning, in our outdoor spaces- Wendy Wood, Conservation Cabin, Meadow and Allotment
- Keeping the learning environment clean and tidy
- Engaging in Continuous Professional Development via in house training opportunities
- Key working, and completing online development records

A good standard of written and spoken English, and IT literate.
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. The Wendy House will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through The Wendy House‘s dedicated training provider, Realise.
