Description
As a Nursery Apprentice you will be expected to provide the highest level of care and education for children attending the setting. Responsibilities will include -
- Working with team of experienced child care professional in the home or playschool setting.
- Learning about child led curriculum whilst completing an early years qualification whilst at work.
- Contributing to stimulating and exciting opportunities for the children in our care.
- Assisting with all aspects of our day with the children; the majority of our week is free play around the rhythm of mealtimes and naps.
- Working well as part of the team.
- Learning through asking questions and observing experienced staff members.
- Contributing to the children's learning journeys (full training provided)
- Making observations using knowledge of child development, for next steps (full training provided)
- Using a mixture of face to face and software apps to communicate with parents.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Hippy Kids will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
If successful, you will complete a level 2 early years practitioner apprentice standard, which includes;
•Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
•Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
•Functional skills in Maths and English if required
This will be delivered through Hippy Kids dedicated training provider, Realise.
