All normal yard duties to include :

  • Mucking out/sweeping yard
  • Filling haynets/ water buckets
  • Feeding/ paddock cleaning
  • Turning horses in and out and changing rugs
  • grooming and tacking up
  • Riding available for the right candidate

Must already have good basic equine experience.

Level 4+ in GCSEs / Level 1+ in Functional Skills desirable but not essential.

Contact Haddon Training to discuss if not yet achieved - Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills Maths and English


Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training

A positive attitude and high work ethic with a good sense of humour and the highest standards of care and turnout are required to join this successful team.

Progression to the Level 3 Senior Groom apprenticeship.

Possibility of full time position on completion of the apprenticeship.

There is no accommodation available with this position , and the yard is a good 5min walk from the nearest bus stop so please make sure you can get yourself there and back daily before applying.


There is the possibility of livery for own horse.
