Description
At William Patten Daycare we aim to provide a fun, friendly and stimulating environment for all children we care for.
During your apprenticeship you will be required to;
- To take full part in the day to day running of the nursery.
- To be responsible as part of a team for the provisions of a safe, stimulating
environment, which promotes a positive image of the community, by being helpful
and responsive to the needs of others.
- To fulfil legal and statutory requirements
- To contribute and implement relevant policies and procedures.
- To devise and implement planned programmes of activities in line with the
early year curriculums to ensure each child has the opportunity to develop to
their full potential within a nursery environment. This will include working in
partnership with parents and carers, working with staff, team members and
liaising with other agencies as required.
- To be responsible for a group of children (Key Children).
- To prepare and present accurate written records for assessment reviews and
case conferences as required.
- To implement health and safety and hygiene regulations

GCSE 3 and above or English and maths functional skill
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. William Patten Day care will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through William Pattern Day cares dedicated training provider, Realise.
