Description

Naturally Light Equitation is a livery yard caring for horses of all kinds on full livery packages. We also teach natural horsemanship and Classical Dressage which we also hold and host clinics throughout the year. The right person will be fun, willing to learn and want to progress their knowledge about horses. The key responsibilities are caring for the livery and owners horses, mucking out, poo picking, handling. The perks of the job will be learning natural horsemanship, classical riding, in hand and lunging and liberty. Also being able to watch and learn from the clinics we hold.

The most important values we are looking for are honesty, reliability, a keen outlook on all horse duties and not be afraid to get your hands dirty. There may be some riding opportunities to the right person but the role is mostly non ridden. That will depend on the individual and their riding experience.

Previous equine experience and a passion to learn about Natural Horsemanship.
No qualifications required.

You will need to have already achieved a grade 4 or above in maths and English. Or be willing to work towards a maths and English equivalent with Haddon Training by completing Functional Skills.

All training provided at the employers premises with the employer and Haddon Training. You will be working towards the Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship. There will also be the opportunity to advance your maths and English grade if required.

There is no accommodation available on site so any candidate must be able to get into work each day.

There is the potential for you to bring your own horse to be kept in livery on the yard, however the cost of this would need to be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.
